DUO - Lindsay and Ashley

Thanks Aris Aguila for the invite to your photo session with these two beautiful ladies...Lindsay Vein and Ashley Day

Here's what I call "DUO", a set with both ladies together.

Gerry Munda's Mentorship Session

This album was my personal photos from Gerry Munda's mentorship session for landscape/travel photography.

I met Gerry initially to plan a workshop for FIDA on fashion photography. With Gerry's busy schedule we never had a chance to properly market the workshop. Gerry however called me up for a personal mentorship on landscape and travel photography. I was really surprised with the topic he wanted covered...after all he is a fashion school director in Davao City. He then told me stories of his travels and it made sense why he wanted to get some tips on the topic.

Thanks Gerry for such an awesome day out.

Bored at Work, Cheska's Ring

"Bored at Work" is a series I am starting with my personal photography at work. I always have a camera with me and when I have a lot of free time from my designing commitments I look around to see what I can photograph.

I am featuring my wife's wedding ring here... I designed this piece for her as well.

Droplets - Fine Art

I love creating my personal photographs... these are FINE ART photos that I create for myself and present to collectors and/or galleries to hopefully add to their collection. I started photography with these images, this is the start of my journey in this field.

I woke up one morning and just went outside our house to see the morning dewdrops...I quicky ran inside to grab my Olympus E3 with the legendary Zuiko 50mm f2 Macro and my Olympus FL50r. I had the flash triggered through its RC mode, providing my "one light" source.

Here's my faves that day.

Kaylee Gauthier

It's a good year ago since Kaylee and I have been communicating to schedule a portrait session. With all my travels back and forth to the Philippines and my very hectic Canadian schedule, we can't seem to finalize anything. Kaylee was also in school and working so its not the easiest to make our schedule fit each other. Despite the long wait we finally booked a date for her session... we decided to go to the best indoor location in Winnipeg, the Manitoba Legislative Building. The "Lege" is a very cool location... it offers a ton of variety in one spot, providing you have the proper lighting set-up.

We picked an indoor location due to the sub-zero temperature outside here in Winnipeg. Only one model so far braved the -20 degree temperature to do a shoot with me, Heather B., my official concept model. It is not easy to work with someone for the first time in REALLY COLD weather. Too much chances of wasting each others' time. She will be shivering and my hands will feel like it's about to be amputated..not much good photos can possibly come from these conditions..lol.

November 24 2010 was snowing very badly... almost like blizzard condition, good that we did decide to do the session indoors. I met Kaylee inside the Legislative Building and as I was registering with security to get in, he advised me that I am not allowed to put up any lighting accessories. I was like thinking... how can I make this work, the building is quite dark inside and with the snow on the glass roof makes it even darker. I decided to ask security if I can use strobes without any light stands...and he said OK. So we went on with the session.

Here's some of my faves from our session.

Cebu City Oct 2010 - street photography

Cheska and I stayed in Cebu after our Hongkong escapade, it was A LOT OF FUN!!! We toured Cebu as much as we could, we went shopping a lot, food tripping, sang karaoke and did a session in the Taoist temple... we made the most of it. On one of the days we were in Cebu we decided to visit the Sto. Nino Church and just stroll the streets of Colon and just the core of the city.

Here's what I saw in the streets of Cebu City.
